Founded by Tim Maclachlan in 2004, EQIUM works with leaders from small to mid-market businesses, providing professional business mentoring to CEO's, business owners and leaders, to elevate their effectiveness, leadership and bottom-line results.

EQIUM is derived from the Latin word aequum, meaning a 'place for equals, that is fair, impartial and just', reflecting our approach of leaders working together with leaders.

A former CEO with 20 years’ experience working and travelling the world with multinationals, Tim has broad experience in business leadership, in his roles as a senior executive, MD/CEO, Board Member, Chairman and Business Owner.
 

After senior executive roles at BASF - the world's largest chemical company - and founding CEO of the Australian subsidiary of the German EMTEC Magnetics Group, Tim founded EQIUM in 2004.
 

He has since become one of Australia’s most experienced executive coaches and mentors, with over 15,000 hours one-on-one with CEOs, MDs and Business Owners across a broad range of industries.

Ian  was co-founder and Managing Director of Nanyang Ventures, managing funds totalling $140million with investments in 27 high growth private companies, and continues to sit on multiple boards as independent director/chairman.  A life member of FINSIA, he is also past National President of The Securities Institute of Australia.

Ian’s focuses on maximising the value of enterprises through his specialization in mentoring, leadership development, strategic planning facilitation, and business optimisation.

After senior roles at SEC(WA) and Rio Tinto Zinc, John became CFO of Orbital Engine Corporation, and later President of Orbital’s US based Marine Business Unit and General Manager of Orbital’s Australian based Engineering Services Business Unit, and was instrumental in Orbital’s listing on the NYSE and ASX.
 

John consults widely to companies helping them commercialize their technologies into global markets, with a heavy emphasis on leadership development through TEC (The Executive Connection).

Graeme enjoyed a 25 year corporate career in diverse leadership roles as a component supplier to the global automotive industry, including establishing and managing manufacturing facilities in India, then started his own business as an interim GM to manufacturing companies.


Graeme is a professional director for both private and NFP boards and is deeply involved in the coaching and mentoring of senior executives, business owners and leaders.
